2. WHAT IS AML POLICY?
The AML Policy is a framework designed to prevent the misuse of our services for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or other illicit activities.
KYC procedures form an integral part of the AML Policy. Their purpose is to ensure that the company knows and understands its customers and effectively manages associated risks.
In the event of potentially suspicious or unusual transactions or client behaviour, we take the necessary precautions to mitigate risks. As considered relevant, personnel processing transactions may request additional documentation such as proof of source of funds, business justification, or enhanced due diligence data.
We maintain an organized system for keeping all records, including customer identification documents, verification logs, and transactional information. All customer and transactional data is stored confidentially and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
Our AML Policy includes:
- Identification and verification of the customer prior to establishing a business relationship;
- Implementation and maintenance of risk-based customer due diligence (CDD), including enhanced due diligence (EDD) for higher-risk clients;
- Ongoing monitoring of transactions and account activity to identify suspicious behaviour;
- Procedures for internal and external reporting of suspicious activities to the relevant authorities;
- Regular AML and compliance training for all relevant personnel.
Within the due diligence process, we reserve the right to reject customer documentation, close accounts, or terminate business relationships if we detect suspicious activity, forged documentation, or a lack of cooperation.
Payevoo operates in accordance with Marvli Payment OÜ’s AML and KYC framework, adhering to its comprehensive compliance program to ensure that all transactions meet regulatory standards and international AML obligations. The verification and due diligence of Payevoo’s clients are conducted under the oversight of Marvli Payment OÜ.
